More and more people are fishing off pontoons. Just like any boat the trolling motor you use determines the way we mount them. If you have a Ultrex, Force, Ghost, or Motorguide Pro we attach to the trolling motors and deploy with the trolling motor. With the Terrova, Ulterra, XI5, and those type motoy we use the ram mount. The ram mount works very well it just means you hand deploy. Any of these units will really help you stay on your target.

We have been asked if our unit hands-free LSMount can work on a kayak. The answer is YES.

Our unit is a double shaft; the larger one is stationary and the smaller shaft turns. We have simply downsized the small shaft. This does a couple of things. It makes the unit a little lighter (about 5 Lbs.) and doesn't go as deep in the water. By using a ram mount you can mount our unit anywhere it is handy for you to put and take it in the water.

This will give you hands-free control of your transducer. Just swing it in the boat when traveling or if you don't need it in the water.
